Passing of D. Blair Brehaut – 1925 – 2017

Passed at the South Muskoka Hospital in Bracebridge, Ont., on December 13, 2017. Blair was in his 93rd year. He died in his sleep of natural causes.

Blair was a WWII veteran, having served with the RCAF. He joined the RCMP and was assigned Reg #15944. He served in a number of capacities, including within the RCMP Band. He was a member of  both the RCMP Veterans’ Association and the Royal Canadian Legion.

Blair asked that there be no funeral or other ceremonies associated with his passing. He only asked that his ashes be scattered over the lake.

Blair is survived by his wife Shirley and daughter Brenda.
